Arden Heath is a 270 unit development site in Stratford-Upon-Avon. Planning on the site was finally granted by appeal in 2018. Key to unlocking the site was to satisfy concerns in respect of traffic and air quality; part of the mitigation being a redesign of one of the key junction nodes in the centre of Stratford.
Other concerns, such as landscaping and visual impact were overcome through the quality of the proposed development and clever use of the contours of the site to minimise distant views. The development also provides improved footway connections to the local school.
The site was disposed of equally to Taylor Wimpey and Spitfire Homes, both of whom are now building on site and delivering an extremely high quality product in keeping with the needs and aspirations of the District Council.
